Well, I've put my Jason Statham marathon on hold for a moment.  I'm a sucker for Hallmark Christmas Movies, and they've been playing them pretty much every weekend since Halloween.  Here are a couple that I would recommend.....

1. "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" with Brooke Burns, Warren Christie, Henry Winkler.  A stranger ends up spending Christmas with a single mom (who's engaged) and her uncle.

2.  "Holiday in Handcuffs" with Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez.  A woman is desperate to bring her boyfriend home for Christmas, and when she is dumped right before she's supposed to leave, she loses it and kidnaps a guy to pass him off as her boyfriend.

Jason Statham

I've been having a Jason Statham marathon.  He is my absolute favorite action star.  I went on Netflix and added all of his movies that I haven't seen yet.  The Crank movies had me cracking up!  If you've seen them, you can guess which scene in both movies are the most memorable and funny.  I have maybe 8 movies left, but I have to say that right now, the 3 Transporters are still my favorite of his.

"Something Borrowed" and "You Again"

I could watch "Something Borrowed and "You Again" a hundred times.  Both movies have me laughing hysterically every time I watch it as if it were my first time watching.
"Something Borrowed" with Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson

"You Again" with Kristen Bell and
Odette Annabelle

Thor

I really liked "Thor".  I've never read comic books, so I didn't really know what it was going to be about. I don't think there is a comic book/superhero movie that I don't like.  This movie has it all....romance, action, comedy, family issues, etc.  I liked the fact that it had comic relief.  I've never laughed out loud at a comic book movie until now.

Superman Returns

I know it's been a while since "Superman Returns" came out, but I thought I'd give a shout out because I went to the Superman Celebration last weekend.  It was so much fun.  I got autographs and pics with Brandon Routh (Superman) and Sam Huntington (Jimmy Olsen).

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part Two

I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan.  I've read all the books and seen all of the movies so far.  I'm getting really excited about the last film coming out next month.  Here is the most recent trailer.

The Green Hornet

Tonight, I watched "The Green Hornet".  I'm sorry to say that I've never seen the original.  It was o.k., not one that I can watch over and over again.  Seth Rogen is typecast.  I thought his character would be different than the other movies that I've seen him in, but it was exactly the same.  It didn't make much since to me that he was the hero and his driver was the sidekick.  Kato could kick butt, and all the Green Hornet could do was shoot people with this green toxin that knocked the criminals out for an hour.  Oh well, maybe I should watch the original, they are always better than the remakes.

I Am Number Four

From the previews, you would think that "I Am Number Four" is going to be action packed.  It was more of a drama with a couple of action sequences, but I still liked it.  If you're looking for an all-star cast, this is not your movie.  I only recognized Timothy Olyphant and Luke from "Percy Jackson".  I think that's a good thing though because it gives unknown actors a chance.  I also like the fact that this movie is different than ever other movie I've seen.  I was beginning to think that nobody had a original idea anymore.  The ending was left open for a possibility of a sequel.  We'll see!!

Shawshank Redemption

Shawshank Redemption is one of the greatest movies ever made.  If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.  I can't believe that it started out as a short story by Stephen King.  It's not really his typical style of writing.  Anyway, check it out.

Amelia

I watched Amelia today.  I thought it was really good.  Hilary Swank did a great job portraying Amelia Earheart.  The movie was exactly as I expected it to be, a retelling of what happened on her final flight.  Although, since no one knows what happened to her, the ending is not quite complete.  After watching the movie, I bought Amelia Earheart's biography.  I never read biographies, but the story is so fascinating to me.

Little Fockers

If you liked the first two movies in the Meet The Parents series, you'll like Little Fockers.  It has all of the same main actors.  I didn't think it was as good as the first movie, but when are sequels ever better.  There, of course, is the ususal bantering between Greg (Gaylord) Focker and Jack Byrnes.  Greg and Pam have started a family now, so there's a new family dynamic.  They don't have much time for intimacy with twins and Greg's busy work schedule.  Greg has to control his temptations when a very flirtatious drug rep (Jessica Alba) insists on Greg endorsing a drug similar to Viagra.  To me, Greg's character is like Murphy's Law.  If anything can go wrong, it will.  Roz has her own TV show, and Bernie is in Spain for most of the movie learning to dance.  Dina is her usual sweet, understanding wife.  Of course, Kevin (Owen Wilson) makes an appearance, and he is still not over Pam.  So, if you enjoyed the first two movies, you should check out Little Fockers.
